Snickerdoodle Cookies

Sugar cookies + cinnamon sugar coating = snickerdoodles!  Yum!

Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter and sugar
  • Beat in rest of liquids
  • In a separate bowl, mix all dry ingredients except for 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Slowly add dry ingredient mixture to butter/sugar mixture
  • Preheat over to 350 F
  • Roll a rounded tablespoon of dough into a ball by hand
  • Place 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp ground cinnamon in a bowl and roll each rounded ball of dough until completely coated
  • Place balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper 3 inches apart
  • Bake until edges of cookies are lightly brown at 350 F, about 10 minutes
  • Let cool for a few minutes before removing from baking sheet
